Enerfin provides complete division of interest payment distribution services to natural gas producer operators. The Division of Interest department will set up initial pay decks for all wells or leases and provide help and assistance to producer-operators, working interest and royalty owners. We value these relationships and provide a high level of customer service with timely and accurate information. We are committed to thoroughly researching all inquiries and providing responses as quickly as possible.

Ownership Account Information

Listed in this section are some common situations that result in either a change of ownership or a change to owner status and the information or documents required to affect that change.

Address Change

Written request required (Change of Address Form)

Individual Name Change

Documentation verifying the name change such as a Marriage Certificate or Divorce Decree

Change in Marital Status

Recorded copy of Divorce Decree including Settlement Agreement

Change of Ownership

Recorded copy of Conveyance Title of Record in County/Parish where property is located

Company or Corporate Name Change

Certificate of Name Change including Tax ID Number

Company or Corporate Change Due to a Merger

Certificate of Merger including Tax ID Number

Appointment of Attorney-In-Fact

Copy of Power of Attorney

Trust/Partnerships Created

Trust or Partnership Agreement, and, if applicable, recorded document conveying the interest into the Trust or Partnership

Trust/Partnerships Terminated

Distribution Trust or Partnership Agreement, and, if applicable, recorded document conveying the interest to the beneficiary

Change in Trustee

Document reflecting the Successor Appointed Trustee

Estate Proceedings (Testate)

Owner died with a Will (Testate):

1. A certified copy of the Death Certificate

2. A copy of the Will

3. A copy of Letters Testamentary or Letters of Administration

4. A copy of the recorded Final Decree (or like document) when it becomes available, along with addresses and social security numbers of the beneficiaries and a copy of a recorded executor’s deed to the heirs

Estate Proceedings (Intestate)

Owner died without a Will (Intestate):

1. A certified copy of the Death Certificate

2. A copy of the Will

3. An affidavit of Death and Heirship form completed by a person who was acquainted with the deceased. The affiant’s signature should be witnessed by two parties, notarized, and finally recorded in the county where the property (s) is located. In addition, please attach a legal description of the property to the completed Affidavit.

Joint Tenancy and One Owner Dies

Bankruptcy: Chapter 7

Recorded Conveyance Order Naming Trustee of Bankruptcy Estate

Bankruptcy: Chapter 11

Plan of Reorganization Order confirming Plan of Reorganization
